Oh this is love

Yesterday I probably made the smartest purchase I have ever made. I was roaming around target looking for the new Emily Blunt movie and I came across this little treasure. I was a little hesitant to purchase it at first but now only watching 2 hours of it (smiling the whole time) I realized how happy I am now that Celine is part of my life! 5 Stars!!!
Don't be jealous- you can also make her a part of your life!

Mormons helping hands

Last Saturday members all over California were assigned to different parks or shorelines where they did various things such as planting flowers, cleaning up trash, removing weeds etc. The group I was in was assigned to a new playground where we planted about 700 plants. I have to admit that I was not too cheerful to be up at 7 in the morning but as the day went on it was really fun! It was fun to be with groups of families all working together. The fun part is that Kristi Yamaguchi's foundation donated the playground to the park. It was a lovely suprise to see her as well as her husband (who played in the 1996 Olympics-Ice Hockey) planting plants with us the whole time.

A little bit of a creeper picture but hey I always feel so awkward asking to take a picture with someone "famous"

Airplanes...quality TLC

Since the end of December I have been on a total of 25 different airplanes. Sometimes I feel like I am in the air more than I am on the ground. It's amazing how fast I can pack or how quick I can make it through the security lines. I can even get to the airport 30 minutes before my plane leaves and still go through security, make a pit stop at the bathroom and make a few phone calls. And although this post seems a little useless I have come to realize that airplanes are pretty incredible. I don't understand how we are able to get off the ground or even how it can hold so many bodies. BUT I am grateful for those couple of hours when I get to sit by myself and read a good book, think to myself or even just take a nap. No one can bother me. No phone calls or facebook to distract me. To be honest sometimes I look forward to a flight just so I can spend some quality alone time with myself.

While flying all over I have been able to look out the window and see some incredible sights from the view of my window!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Once a year I pretty much become a princess. I make sure that everyone knows that it is MY day! Lucky for me my princess day was yesterday! I spent the weekend in Southern California with my brother and his family! It was terrific-I finally got to see my cute little newphew Evan and spent some quality kissing and chasing time with my nephew Christian! I flew back yesterday and spent the evening with my family and of course Kim! It was pretty low key but nonetheless a fabulous day! My mom made me a gluten/dairy/corn free dinner and a yummy gluten free cake! Happy Birthday to me!

Her are some fabulous pics from the weekend! And of course I got my very own sewing machine...am I extremely intimidated by the beast? That is an understatement.

another reason to love california!

This past weekend I went to Half Moon Bay were two of my friends and we explored the tide pools. I had such a blast! It was warm and beautiful! It had been years since I had visited that spot! After exploring for about 30 minutes a memory popped into my head of when I was a small child. I remember thinking while at that very spot how much I wish I was born a mermaid. It's true and even to this day if I could be any creature I would be a mermaid. So to all the mermaids out there, I am truly jealous of your life! ANYWAYS on to the pictures of the day!

california my heart

This past week California has delivered me some BEAUTIFUL weather! I am talking about 70-80 degrees everday. So in celebration a group of us decided to head to the beach where I laid on the warm sand for 4 hours reading a book and casually naping. While in the process my body soaked up the sun and turned a light shade of pink, which in hope will become off white-a step above see through white! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day!

Hobbies and such!

So since graduation I have decided to get some new hobbies! Those who know my mom can agree that she is the woman of talents and since I am her one and only daughter I am hoping that those skills will be passed on to me! So while I have all the time in the world I am going to take full advantage of my mothers natural artisitic abilities!!!!
But if there is one thing that I enjoy doing on my own it is baking. So for St. Patricks day I made red velvet cupcakes (gone green!) for my co-workers! It was so fun and a huge hit!!!
Up next...tackling the sewing machine!
